Whether you're new to the area or have called this community home for years, a YWCA membership is your gateway to meaningful connection.

Getting started is simple: become a member, then choose the clubs that fit your interests and stage of life. We carefully match every group based on life stage, neighborhood, and interests — so when you walk in, it already feels like the right fit.

If you're new to the area, Newcomers is where many members begin. Most also join Winetasters, Gourmet, and/or Playgroups, giving them multiple ways to connect right away.

Already a local? Winetasters and Gourmet are wonderful ways to meet new people and expand your circle.

💛 Meet the Team: Toddler Time 💛

Meet Ms. Emily and Ms. Ty! 👋

Ms. Emily has been part of the YWCA family for 23 years, and Ms. Ty for 10. Together, they've helped countless toddlers build confidence, discover their independence, make new friends, and fill our classrooms with laughter and joy.

✨ When asked about her favorite part of Toddler Time, Ms. Emily shared:
"The classroom comes alive. They bring joy and laughter, and their personalities shine through."

🎨 Ms. Ty is a trained artist who loves bringing creativity into the classroom. She shared:
"Watching the children create their crafts and art is very special to me because I get to see how happy and proud they are of what they created."

When asked to describe Toddler Time in just three words, they chose: growing, friendships, laughter, and family. 💙

Visionary leaders like Dr. Dorothy Irene Height, Rosetta Evelyn Lawson, Grace Hoadley Dodge, and Julia Morgan, all pictured here, transformed opportunities for women, communities of color, and future generations. Their courage and leadership continue to inspire the work of YWCA communities across the country, including right here at YWCA Darien/Norwalk. ✨

Today, we celebrate their legacy and recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. ❤️🤍💙
