About Network of Working Women
The YWCA Network of Working Women welcomes all working women, whether employed outside of the home or consulting/freelance, including those currently unemployed or considering workforce re-entry. Participation is included in your YWCA membership by joining the club on the YWCA website.
- Schedules and plans local social and networking events during weeknights or weekends. Past events included Network of Working Women’s Cocktail Party, Wine & Cheese Spa Night, and Monthly Night out at a Local Restaurant.
- Email network where members can post questions and share solutions, whether it is looking for a good plumber or nanny to job openings and other business briefs.
- Meets certain Saturday mornings each month at member’s homes, local parks, or the beach to socialize, network and have a play date for our children. Typically, a play date for children from birth through age four is held two Saturdays of each month.
- Outings for children 5 and up are held sporadically; past outings have included hockey games, the UBS Thanksgiving Parade, and beach gatherings.
"I have to just take a minute to thank you ladies for all of your great recommendations, suggestions, advice, feedback, etc. What a value and an asset to our community ... I talk about this group with so many friends who don't have this sort of network and they are always so jealous! I am very appreciative to the YWCA for facilitating this group!!"
